"The womb is not a place to store fear and pain. The womb is to create and give birth to life.”
The Rite of the Womb, or Kisma Karpay, is a stand alone Munay Ki rite is a beautiful transmission to release trauma from the womb, and bring strength and support to the energetic womb, the creative center. This rite provides healing by helping to clear intense emotions, heaviness and illness.
For women, the experience can bring a newfound sense of appreciation for their wombs and the life-giving capacity that they hold - not only for the possibility of birthing a child but also as an energetic container for creativity and healing. It offers a change to reconcile with their femininity and be follow their natural cycles. It can shift deep grieving to profound joy.
For men, the rite assists in clearing and healing the feminine energy (creation and manifestation center) within, rather than physically targeting a female body part. It also brings balance and transformation to the collective fields and transforms the human family and Mother Earth.
The Rite of the Womb offers a purification ritual to release heaviness in the energetic womb and to incubate and birth the new dream. It helps us to remember that despite any trauma we may have experienced, we do not have to remain victims to the stories of our past.
After receiving the rite, you need to nurture it with a small ritual of release, for the next 13 moons, or as long as you need. It is given from woman to woman (and occasionally given to men) for personal healing, as well as for the collective.
I am honoured to share the rite with anyone who feels called, and from time to time I offer a group ceremony. I was designated to receive the rite and also to transmit it in the summer of 2025 from my mentor, Jerri Doran.
